Special Christmas Flower Arrangement

Materials Required:
  • ​Greens (a variety of types, and holly, if you have)
  • Scissors
  • Wire cutters (if you have them, if not we can share)
  • Ribbon (your choice)
  • 2 taper candles (12-18' or another height if you prefer)

Flower Arranging Classes

We are excited to announce a series of flower arranging classes taught by our own Bongchun Koch.  
  • Each class will focus on a different type of arrangement that participants take home afterwards. 
  • Each class will be an hour and will cost $20.00. 
  • You can attend any or all of the classes, your choice! 
  • The flowers are included and BC will let participants know what to bring for each class (ex. type of container, ribbon, etc).  Please bring scissors.

If you have any questions, please talk to either BC Koch or Kathy Erdman.  Checks can be made out to St. John Lutheran Church with FAC written on the memo line.

More about Bongchun Koch

Before emigrating from South Korea, Bongchun Koch (BC) pursued flower arranging, and developed an interest and talent for oriental designs, and taught flower arranging to international women’s groups.  Upon immigrating to the United States, she pursued her dream of a profession in floral design.  She began work at the flower shop in the Willard Hotel next to the White House, where she created grand flower arrangements for the hotel and visiting VIPs, and, on occasion, for Nancy Reagan.

Upon relocating to the Norristown area, BC found part time employment in a quaint flower shop in Norristown, where she quickly became the lead designer.  Then, in less than a year, the owner offered BC her business, and she became the owner of Anna Catanese Flower Shop.  For 21 years she expanded the product line to a variety of flower arrangement styles to accommodate home, office, church and event settings.  BC also found time to give lectures and classes in floral design to garden clubs and church groups.
