Martin Luther King Day of Service 2019
Service Projects include:
🌷Valentine Day cards will be made and given to 180 senior residents of the Artman Home in Ambler, PA.
🌷No-sew Fleece blankets will be made for Childway Homes which specializes in supporting the needs of children who are technologically dependent & medically fragile in Montgomery County.
🌷Hoagie assembly line for our local police & fire fighters as a thank you for their service in Whitpain Township.
🌷Letters & cards will be written to veterans who have given of their time & service for their country. Sample letters will be available in the Great Room.
🌷Packing Disaster Relief Kits for Lutheran Congregational Services to be provided to those who have lost everything due to fire or flood. They will receive a new kitchen kit.
🌷Assemble "sock rolls" for Mattie Dixon Community Cupboard - 100 pairs of socks will be wrapped around a couple snacks with a note signed with the first name of the assembler.
🌷Activity bags for Meals On Wheels - 120 individuals that are homebound will receive a bag wth some activity books and colored pencils as well as a granola bar to keep them busy during the winter months.
🌷 Mural Arts Refugee Program - we will be assembling 20 "Welcome to America" bags which will include either a bi-lingual book or toy, a paper tablet, crayons and pencils. Attached will be a card welcoming them to America in a variety of languages and signed with the first name of the assembler.
🌷 Salvation Army - we will assemble 35 bags with activity books, colored pencils and two healthy snacks.
🌷Silver Spring Martin Luther School - we will be decorating 72 Valentine gift bags which will include candy, stickers, pencils, tissues & socks.
